DSC's Theatre Department will present its second-annual "The Comedy Storm" summer theater series in the Laboratory Theater located inside the Dolores Dore Eccles Fine Arts Center on the DSC campus. The second season will include two comedies presented in repertory, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, by John Bishop on Thursday and Saturday evenings, and Fred Carmichael's Exit the Body on Friday and Monday evenings.

The productions will open on Thursday, June 24, and will run through Saturday, July 24. Each performance will start nightly at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available now for just $10. Patrons may also purchase tickets prior to each evening's performance at the Eccles Fine Arts Center Box Office or online at "tickets.dixie.edu."

Additionally, DSC's Theatre Department will host a special half-price preview event prior to official opening of each show's run, featuring The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 on Tuesday, June 22, and Exit the Body on Wednesday, June 23. Both preview performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. The run will also feature a pair of Saturday matinees beginning at 2 p.m., with Musical Comedy Murders on July 17th, and Exit on July 24th.

Exit the Body features murder, mayhem and a country setting which helps define this delightful comedy. A famous mystery writer and her secretary rent a retreat to the country for a little rest and relaxation, but she gets more than she bargained for when a body she finds in the closet promptly disappears only to be succeeded by another. Mix in her wisecracking secretary, the housekeeper, her crooked boyfriend, and a hilarious cast of characters and mystery and comedy reach a high peak. What follows is the hunt to find the body, identify the killer, locate stolen diamonds, and find out which one of the characters will be the next victim. Exit The Body is for the whole family and is sure to leave everyone roaring with laughter.
